Welcome to Lymington Town FC Sprites Youth Football safeguarding page

The club welfare officers have a responsibility for ensuring that children and young people who register with Lymington Town Sprites Youth FC, can play football in a safe and non-threatening environment, and are not subject to any form of neglect, abuse or bullying.

Paul has recently become the assistant CWO and also coaches one of our U10 squads. Outside of Sprites, Paul works in a Child Safeguarding role.


1. Contact the Lymington Town FC Club Welfare Officer’s, Luther Stone. 07980 589707… or Paul Maslin 07592 092304. We also have a dedicated CWO email

2. If the issue is one of poor practice the Club Welfare Officer will either:  •Deal with the matter themselves or •Seek advice from the Hampshire FA Designated Safeguarding Officer

3. If at anytime you are not able to contact the Club Welfare Officer or the concern is more serious e.g. possible child abuse you should contact the Hampshire FA Designated Safeguarding Officer – Melanie Gill on 07885 807321

4. If the child needs immediate medical treatment take them to a hospital or call an ambulance and tell them this is a child protection concern. Let your Club Welfare Officer know what action you have taken.

5.
